The opening of an adversarial examination procedure in respect of a client’s personal tax situation (examen contradictoire de situation fiscale personnelle - ESFP) is a much more serious event than a simple request by the authorities for information or receipts.
Reserved in practice for certain categories of taxpayers, in particular when initiated by the DNVSF, the ESFP procedure involves multiple meetings with an inspector to whom numerous supporting documents must be provided.
